Measure the distance length of optical path; A certain optical cable in the optical cable cluster can be accurately identified by tapping the vibration optical cable body with contact sub-strength. The instrument is also equipped with Optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) module, which can be used for regular inspection and maintenance of optical cables. The instrument can assist optical network maintenance personnel to realize efficient optical cable inspection, breakpoint location and optical attenuation point location, which can greatly improve the operation and maintenance efficiency of emergency repair.
  • Key technology and performance
  1. Using the industry's leading phase-based direct detection Optical time domain reflectometry (ΦOTDR: φOptical Time Domain Reflectometry) technology, with extremely sensitive optical fiber sensing technology, in non-contact optical cable conditions, well vibration isolation sensing slight vibration, efficient detection of optical cable location and path.
  2. Using the transmission cable itself as the sensor, the detection distance can be up to 60km; OTDR can measure up to 80km.
  3. The excitation light source uses a narrow line-width laser light source, and the analytical data card uses a dedicated FPGA high-speed data acquisition card based on ARM architecture. The range accuracy of the vibration instrument is better than 2 meters, the range accuracy of the OTDR instrument is better than 0.01dB, and the data update is less than 1S.
  4. The instrument adopts cloud architecture, remote login operation, real-time remote access by APP, and the operation interface is simple.
  5. The instrument adopts 8-port design to realize the simultaneous survey of 8 optical cables, which is more efficient.
